Dual Licensees - New Oregon CCB Rules that went into effect July 1, 2017
If you hold both an Oregon Residential and Commercial license, now you only need to meet the commercial CE requirements. When selecting courses from open course credits, always choose "Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) - Commercial" as the Board, even if you carry both a commercial and residential license.
Visit our Oregon CCB - Commercial packages page for details.

Residential Licensees - New Oregon CCB Rules that went into effect December 1, 2017

Pace is proud to be a certified Oregon CCB continuing education provider for both residential and commercial contractors. Residential contractors in Oregon can complete approved courses, previously offered as Series A and Series B, for Residential Continuing Education (RCE) requirements, including such courses as Building Exterior Shell Training (BEST) and Building Codes, with Pace. Key employees of commercial contractors can fill their continuing education requirements with any of the specialty courses provided by Pace.

In addition to approved courses, previously offered as Series A and Series B for residential contractors, Pace offers construction classes in construction contracting for larger products, hand and power tools safety, active solar energy systems, energy efficient homes, roofing and more. These courses are the ideal approach to earning or renewing your Oregon contractor's license. While Oregon's LRB course must be completed through the CCB, Pace can provide the rest of your 8 or 16 hours of required continuing education courses. For commercial contractors in Oregon, our certification courses meet the requirements for Commercial Contractor 1 and Commercial Contractor 2 licensure.

Pace proudly offers continuing education courses to all Oregon construction contractors, including but not limited to the following counties and major cities:

Residential Contractors
Oregon approved CCB providers are required to report Series A and Series B course completions to the CCB within one business day of course completion. Once reported, the course status will display a "Sent to State" icon rather than the "Completed" icon.

Commercial Contractors
Pace does not report commercial contractor hours. You will be able to print out Certificates of Completion and keep them on file in case of audit by the Oregon CCB.

Residential Contractor Renewals through December 31, 2013. Oregon Residential Contractors need 16 hours of continuing education each 2-year renewal cycle. Five of these hours must be CORE hours. The Oregon CCB approves providers and classes for Building Codes core courses. Pace is an approved Oregon Core course continuing education provider (CCB Provider # RCE2769).

CORE continuing education consists of 2 hours in Building Codes and 3 hours in CCB Laws, Regulations and Business Practices (LRB) (note: the LRB courses must be taken directly through the Oregon CCB). Eleven elective hours make up the remainder of the CE requirements.

Residential Contractor Renewals after December 31, 2013. Beginning January 1, 2014 the CCB has modified your Residential Contractor license renewal requirements as follows:

Licensed for more than 6 years - All Residential contractors that have been licensed for more than 6 years will be required to complete 8 hours of Continuing Education to include 3 hours of CCB Laws, Regulations, and Business Practices and 5 hours of Series A approved courses in order to renew your license.

Licensed for less than 6 years - If you have been licensed for less than 6 years you will be required to complete all of the above requirements as well as an additional 8 hours of approved Series B courses.

Commercial Contractor Endorsement
CE may be obtained by one key employee or by multiple key employees. The total number of hours required depends on how many key employees the business has. The following CE hours are required for each two-year licensing period.
