Idaho Electrical CEU Renewal Policy
Effective July 1, 2017, individuals requesting CEU credit will have to comply with IDAPA 07.01.07. IDAPA 07.01.07 states journeyman and master electricians must complete at least 24 hours of continuing education instruction in every 3 year period between renewals of such licenses. The 24 hours shall consist of:
- 8 hours of code update covering changes included in the latest edition of the NEC
- 8 hours of code related training
- 8 hours of industry-related
Individuals may submit more hours for each type of required courses, however the Board no longer accepts more than 8 hours for each category.
The Idaho Division of Building Safety (DBS) has partnered with CE Broker to track and manage the continuing education requirements for Idaho licensed professionals.
Note: At this time, Pace can only provide 8 of the required 24 hours of continuing education.
