North Carolina Administrative Code 21NCAC 56.1703 Continuing Professional Compentency Requirements

Every licensee shall obtain Fifteen (15) Professional Development Hour (PDH) units during the annual renewal period by December 31st.

If a licensee exceeds the annual requirement in any renewal period, a maximum of 15 PDH units may be carried forward into the subsequent renewal period.
North Carolina Administrative Code 21NCAC 56.1703 Continuing Professional Compentency Record Maintenance and Verification
- The licensee shall maintain the following records to be used to support credits claimed:
- a log showing the type of activity claimed, title or specific subject, sponsoring organization, location, duration, date, instructor's or speaker's name, and PDH credits earned, and other information on a form as prescribed by the Board; and
- attendance verification records in the form of completion certificates, or other documents supporting evidence of attendance.

These records must be maintained for a period of three years and copies may be requested by the board for audit verification purposes.
