Neither PacePDH nor the individual licensee are required to report completed courses to the Delaware Board of Electrical Examiners. Once a course is complete, a certificate will be available to print out or save as a file on your computer/device. These certificates will always be available to be printed at any time and will never expire or disappear from an account.

The only time a licensee will need to present these certificates as proof of completing the required CE is if they are subject to an audit by the Board.

Once the required CE hours are complete, a licensee can simply go ahead and submit their license renewal application to the Board and pay any fee that is due.

Delaware electrical licenses expire on June 30 of even years (e.g., 2016, 2018). Extra continuing education hours do not carry over to the next licensing period. Licensees shall complete 10 hours of approved CE during each renewal period with the following exceptions - a person licensed less than one year does not need to complete CE at the first renewal; a person licensed one year but less than two years must submit 5 CE hours at the first renewal. Beginning with the licensee’s second renewal, 5 of the 10 CE hours required for renewal must be related to the National Electrical Code.

Journeypersons and Apprentice Electricians shall complete 5 hours of approved CE during each renewal period with the following exceptions – a person licensed less than one year does not need to complete CE at the first renewal; a person licensed one year but less than two years must submit 2 CE hours at the first renewal.
