Course Description


This course is part of a series of courses on the Conflict-Free Home Remodeling Process written by Stephen Gidus. “REMODology Part 3 – Feasibility Study” focuses on Step 1 of the Pre-Construction Phase, the Feasibility Study. The remodeler will learn how to set up initial call, prepare for meeting, prepare and make the feasibility study presentation, as well as financing and study alternatives.



Course Objectives


Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe important questions to ask to qualify a prospective client
  • Recognize important items to ask for before meeting with a prospective client
  • Develop items to help prepare for the initial site meeting with the homeowner
  • Examine critical research that should take place
  • Explore the parts of the feasibility worksheets
  • Identify how to develop the feasibility budget
  • Analyze how to deliver the budget
  • Determine when to get paid for the feasibility study


Instructor Bio


Bonnie PrinseBonnie Prinse

Ms. Prinse holds a BS Degree in Environmental Studies from Eckerd College and has pursued master degree studies in Aquatic Zoology at the University of South Florida. She has written scientific portions of impact statements for wetland/upland land delineation, endangered species studies, and water quality testing while employed with a civil engineering and architectural firm in Tampa, FL. Her experience in environmental studies and new construction lend itself to documentary film making, particularly environmental stories that have taken her to the Amazon in Peru and to Costa Rica. Most recently her involvement with earthen construction projects led to a video production showcasing the benefits of building “green.”
