Course Description
This one hour course provides an overview of mouldings and trim as well as a historical perspective of the moulding industry. Information about how mouldings are created, a review of some of the standard shapes and sizes, the materials used, and issues in the manufacture, distribution, and installation of mouldings also are covered.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- identify the difference between moulding and trim
- discuss the functions of moulding
- describe how moulding is manufactured
- list the tools used in its manufacturing
- recognize the basic profiles or patterns of common moulding
