West Virginia Continuing Education Requirements
In order to renew a registration, registered architects are required to complete twelve continuing education hours during the most recently completed calendar year. These continuing education hours are required to be in Health, Safety and Welfare subjects and are to be obtained through structured educational activities.
Reporting, Record Keeping and Auditing
Architects are required to maintain records of their own continuing education hours. The board will annually conduct a random audit consisting of five percent of the architects registered in the state for purposes of verification of completion of continuing education hours for the previous calendar year. The licensee need only submit his/her records if specifically requested by the board.
