Course Description


Professional Ethics for Contractors, Part 2 builds on foundational ethical principles to equip contractors with the skills and knowledge to navigate complex ethical challenges in modern construction. Through five lessons, participants will explore real-world scenarios related to conflict of interest, subcontractor and vendor relations, cultural and environmental considerations, project scheduling and cost management, and the ethical use of technology. Designed for seasoned professionals, this course emphasizes practical strategies, transparency, and accountability to foster trust, improved project outcomes, and construction industry integrity. By the end of the course, participants will be better prepared to address ethical dilemmas confidently and responsibly in their daily operations.



Course Objectives


Once the student has successfully completed this course, they will be able to:

Instructor Bio


GEORGE MAZZEO
George Mazzeo holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the NJ Institute of Technology and a MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He is also a graduate of the US Naval War College. Mr. Mazzeo has presented dozens of ethics seminars to Professional Engineers and other professionals nationwide.

He is a retired US Air Force Colonel and served as the Department Chair and Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Florida. While at UF, he presented courses in leadership, strategic planning, management, ethics, team building, quality/continuous improvement and communications. He is the author of "Sleeping Dogs… Ethics in the Workplace." Mr. Mazzeo currently is the Executive Director for the North Central Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross.
