Kansas Continuing Education Requirements

Kansas Administrative Rule K.A.R. 66-14-1 Continuing Education Requirements

  1. Each licensee shall have completed 30 professional development hours (PDHs) of acceptable continuing education requirements during the two-year period immediately preceding the biennial renewal date established in K.A.R. 66-6-6 as a condition for license renewal.
  2. If the licensee exceeds the requirement in any renewal period, the licensee may carry a maximum of 15 PDHs forward into the subsequent renewal period.

  1. Each licensee shall maintain records on forms prescribed and furnished by the board to support the professional development hours claimed by the licensee.
  2. Each licensee shall maintain the records of completed professional development hours for at least four years and shall provide a copy to the board, upon request.
